Product Overview

The Bosch GCL 2-50 C Professional represents a significant step forward in layout efficiency, bridging the gap between standard cross-line levels and digital connectivity. Designed for the tradesperson who requires versatility without the downtime of complex setups, this "Combi" unit projects highly visible horizontal and vertical laser lines alongside two centred plumb points, making it indispensable for tasks ranging from stud wall installation to lighting transfers. What sets this model apart is its "Simply Connected" capability; via Bluetooth, users can pair the tool with the Bosch Levelling Remote App to adjust laser configurations without touching the unitpreserving precision and preventing accidental knocks. While this specific kit (0601066G00) is supplied with a standard alkaline battery setup, the tool itself boasts "Dual Power" architecture, allowing you to upgrade to the Bosch 12V Li-Ion rechargeable platform seamlessly if desired.

Part No: 0601066G00(BOSP0601066G00)

Features & Benefits
  • Simply Connected (Bluetooth): Control the laser remotely via your smartphone. You can switch lines on or off and adjust brightness without climbing a ladder or disturbing the tool's level position.
  • Dual Power Source Compatibility: This unit offers ultimate power flexibility. While supplied with an AA battery adapter for immediate use, it is fully compatible with Bosch Professional 12V Li-Ion batteries (sold separately), allowing you to integrate it into your existing cordless kit.
  • Versatile RM 2 Mount: Includes the RM 2 Professional rotating mount, which features a slide-in mechanism for quick attachment. It allows the laser to be rotated 360° around the plumb point for precise alignment without repositioning the mount itself.
  • Combi Functionality: Simultaneously projects a horizontal line, a vertical line, and two centred plumb points (floor and ceiling), ideal for transferring layout marks vertically.
  • Receiver Compatibility: By engaging the receiver mode, the working range extends up to 50 metres when used with an optional LR 6 or LR 7 receiver, making it suitable for brighter environments or longer distances.
  • Pendulum Lock: The self-levelling pendulum can be locked secure, ensuring the precision mechanics are protected during transport in your van or toolbox.
  • High Accuracy: Delivers professional-grade precision with an accuracy of 0.3 mm/m for laser lines, ensuring your installations remain dead square.

FAQs
What should I look for when buying a Laser Level?

Laser Levels are invaluable when you need a straight and level reference point; almost like a virtual chalk line. There are lots of different variations to think about, such as whether you need vertical lines, horizontal or both, what colour the beam should be and whether it will be used indoors or outdoors. This last point is an important one; ‘outdoor’ Laser Levels use a brighter, more powerful laser to ensure visibility in natural light, so are more expensive than their ‘indoor’ counterparts.

A feature that isn’t always available but is worth looking out for, is “self-levelling”. A self-levelling laser corrects itself regardless of any irregularities in the surface the laser has been placed on; this makes them quicker and simpler to use, as well as more accurate when compared to levels which are calibrated using a spirit level bubble.

Different types of Laser Level

The most common type of Laser Level now is the Line Level, which does what it says on the box and displays horizontal and vertical lines either together as a cross hair or as separate lines on a ceiling, wall or floor. If choosing a Line Level, think about the working visibility range your level can project, the accuracy of the beam and the number of beams your level can give you.

An alternative to a Line Levels would be a Rotary Level. These rotate 360°, providing a constant horizontal line through a complete circle. There are also Specialist Levels available, such as Inclinometers and Plumb Bobs.

Red or Green Beams?

At ToolStore UK, we sell Laser Levels with both red and green beams. But which should you choose? Fundamentally, there are two factors to consider; cost and distance. Green lasers offer greater distance and improved visibility but those advantages come at a price. Therefore, if you need a Laser Level but have a restricted budget, a red laser may be the right choice. However, for many users, visibility is the most important factor and that makes green lasers a clear favourite; they are between 10 and 50 times brighter than red lasers which makes green lasers four more times more visible to the naked eye than red.
