Check out our range of power tool batteries so that you'll never be left without power when it matters. Cordless power tools are offering users more convenience and power than ever before – but they are only ever as good as the batteries used to power them. We understand that when it comes to your power tools, performance and reliability are key. That’s why we only stock the highest quality power tool batteries from brands you know and trust, including DeWalt, Makita, Bosch and Einhell
In fact, it’s a good idea to have at least two batteries in your toolkit so you can simply swap the batteries over when you're working on longer tasks. Lookout for Li-ion batteries with a higher ampere hour rating so they last longer between charges and be sure to choose a battery with the same voltage as your power tool, so you don’t damage your equipment.

Li-ion stands for lithium-ion, a type of rechargeable battery that have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their high energy density and low self-discharge. They are composed of two electrodes (the anode and the cathode) which are separated by an electrolyte solution. When the battery is discharged, lithium ions move from the anode to the cathode, releasing energy. When the battery is recharged, the lithium ions move back to the anode, absorbing energy.
Li-ion batteries are the most common type of battery used in cordless power tools today. Battery technology has advanced significantly in recent years, with lithium-ion replacing the previous generations of nickel–cadmium (NiCad) and nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are more ‘energy dense’, allowing greater power and capacities from smaller lighter battery packs. In fact, lithium-ion is around 40% lighter than the older NiCad and NiMH batteries so the cordless tools that use lithium-ion technology are generally more comfortable to use, with improved tool handling and reduced muscle fatigue.
Li-ion batteries offer a much longer life than other types of batteries. They also do not require any maintenance to ensure their performance, unlike the older NiCad and NiMH batteries that required discharging periodically to preserve the battery life. With Li-ion batteries and cells, discharging or any other similar maintenance procedures are not required.
Another benefit of Li-ion batteries is their self-discharge rate. The rate of self-discharge in lithium-ion cells is much lower than that of other rechargeable cells. Because lithium is a highly reactive element with the ability to release and store large amounts of energy, they also enjoy a high energy capacity in a small size, meaning a longer runtime between charges while still maintaining their high level of performance.
