The Makita BL4040 40Vmax 2.5 ah battery is part of the the XGT range. The battery is designed with the tough environmental conditions that come along with working on site. The IPX4 rating means that they are water resistant and buit to withstand splashes from any angle. Each battery is built with impact absorbing padding and a heavy-duty outer casing. The XGT range of tools and batteries have a built-in program, that provides digital communication between the tool and batteries. XGT is a long-term solution which is not compatible with 18v tools.

If you’re going to be using the tool over a long period, the weight of the battery is also worth checking; this can have an impact on your comfort.
In terms of power for handheld devices, ToolStore UK offers AA, AAA, C, D and 9.6v batteries in a range of pack sizes.
Delivery & Returns
We offer free delivery on orders over £55, placed before 4pm Monday to Thursday. Note that next day delivery for orders placed after 4pm on Thursday, up to 4pm Friday, is usually Monday (excluding bank holidays). Estimated delivery for all orders placed over a weekend is Tuesday.
