What should I look for when buying Fixings?

There’s a huge amount of different Fixings available, so take care to make sure you’re buying what you need. Depending on the kind of materials you’re working with and the kind of load your Fixings will be expected to bear, you may need a range of different Fixings in your kit.

For example, a Masonry Bolt would be used to attach heavy items such as fence posts to masonry walls and would split laminated board; you’d need to use knock-down fixings to prevent splitting.

In addition to ensuring you have the right type of fixing, check the diameter, thread and length of your potential purchase and ensure you have the right Fixings for the job(s) you’ll be doing.
