Which is better: brushless or brushed drills?

"I found it extremely hard to even get the torque barrel to move at all at first, was it stuck? Getting the barrel to move to the drill function and then to the hammer function was extremely difficult. Surely there was something wrong with the one I bought. I can not imagine that people wrestle with the settings in the way I had to, to get the barrel to move. If it wasn't broke, then it's not the drill for me"
