The DeWalt DCW604 18v XR Brushless Router features an all-metal motor for jobsite durability and is the first Router from DeWalt designed to deal with a large range of second-fix woodwork jobs such as kitchen fitting, trim carpentry and remodelling. Controlled by an electronic, variable speed motor from 16,000 to 25,000rpm, the router maintains speed under load and to a 55mm depth plunge. This DeWalt cordless power tool is equipped with soft-start to minimise start up torque and an electronic brake to reduce the bit coast down time when the unit is powered off.
Other features of the DCW604 include an adjustable quick release clamp for smooth and secure actuation, quick release tabs for simple base removal, a depth adjust ring for fast accurate depth settings, an easy-to-use spindle lock with a large button and 12-position ratcheting lock. The stable D-shaped base provides edge profiling and radius referencing and the router is also plunge-base compatible. This tool is sold Body Only, so doesn't come with a battery or charger. It is supplied in a TSTAK carry case.
