The Makita MW001GZ 40v XGT Microwave is the world's first cordless microwave. The MW001GZ is incredibly portable measuring only 343mm x 318mm x 338mm, it is not only supplied with a durable carry handle that folds down in to the top of the microwave, but it is also supplied with a comfortable carry strap so that you can take wherever you need to go. In addition, the microwave also includes a 2.4A USB output for high powered and high speed charging of your smart devices. This means that while waiting for your food to heat up, you could also charge up your phone.

Which is better: brushless or brushed tools?

Brushed motors use carbon brushes to transfer power from the fixed part of the motor to the rotor. This creates a reliable and relatively inexpensive motor, but brushed motors d require regular maintenance, in order to either clean the brushes or replace them as they wear out. A brushless motor, by contrast, uses a magnet mounted on the rotor to generate the power and electrical switching to perform the function carried out by the brushes. The additional complexity of the motor’s working means that brushless motors are usually more expensive than brushed.

Which voltage should I choose?

As a rule, there won’t be a choice of voltages for specific machine types we have listed under ‘Other Cordless’ but the category does include products which run at different power levels, from 10.8v through to 54v.
