This tells you the level of pressure applied to the water as it leaves the machine so, the higher the rating, the greater the force with which the water will meet the item being cleaned. Therefore, tools with higher Pressure Ratings are great for dealing with stubborn dirt and harder surfaces, such as concrete paving.

It's also worth thinking about the Flow Rate, which tells you how quickly water leaves the tool. If you need to speed up a task such as cleaning a car, a higher flow rate can be helpful.
