Now in its current contemporary format, the STANLEY Micro PowerLock 3M/10' (19mm wide) Tape Measure features a strong, bright yellow 19mm blade with clear and legible markings and Class II accuracy providing a reassuring +/-0.5mm error tolerance at 1m, making it suitable for a multitude of professional applications.
Compact and lightweight, this versatile tape has been specifically designed to fit perfectly in a pocket. Engineered to last, the STANLEY PowerLock Tape Measure has been treated with a polyester film-coated blade coating that delivers up to 10x more resistance to abrasion than a standard lacquered blade. The TRU-ZERO hook ensures precise inner and outer measurements, moving back and forth along the securing rivets to account for the hook thickness.

What should I look for when buying a Tape Measure?

The first thing to consider is the size of the Tape Measure. That doesn’t just mean the length of the tape – although that is important, of course – it can also mean the width of the blade and the dimensions of the case.

To ensure maximum durability, you might want to look for impact-resistant casing and the hook at the end of the blade is also worth think about as the flexibility provided by the hook can affect the accuracy of your measurements.

In terms of accuracy, check whether the Tape Measure has a Class Rating. Most professionals can be confident with Class II Tape Measures but for work which requires maximum precision, Class I tapes provide accuracy to within ±1.1mm.
