Cordless Lawn Mowers

Quiet, manoeuvrable, long run times – it’s no wonder that cordless lawn mowers are growing in popularity. With Lithium-ion batteries now offering the benefits of high energy density in relatively lightweight casing, battery operated lawn mowers are a great option for any size garden. For more intricate gardens, the cables of an electric lawnmower may get stuck or snagged on shrubbery and for larger gardens your power source might be too far away to reach. Battery powered lawn mowers offer you greater freedom to move around, from your back garden to your front garden, with no trailing lead to worry about. Our selection of battery powered lawn mowers will suit a range of budgets and garden types and come from the top brands you trust like Metabo and Makita.

Cordless Lawn Mowers

Rechargeable lawn mowers

Technological advances in battery performance have transformed the way cordless lawn mowers function, from quicker charge times and longer battery life to little effort required in maintenance and a low discharge rate to ensure they hold their charge. The bigger the Ah of battery, the longer it will run without needing to be recharged so it is worth considering a cordless lawn mower with a higher battery capacity for larger outdoor spaces where a longer run time will be needed. But even if you were to run out of charge, another advantage of cordless technology is that the batteries will fit other items in the range. This means you can use the battery and charger that came with your leaf blower or lawn mower. You can also buy spare batteries to use while another one is charging so that you experience no downtime at all. Battery operated lawn mowers are also a better choice for the environment with no nasty fumes generated.

There are a number of other lawn mower types to choose from with each one suited to different garden styles and power requirements. Another way to enjoy the freedom of cordless mowing is with a petrol lawn mower. These powerful tools have long run times, making them a great option for gardens with steeper slopes and big outdoor spaces. If your grass is too long to go straight in with the lawn mower, consider using a strimmer first.

It’s not just our excellent range of quality products that sets us apart from the rest. We also pride ourselves on our excellent customer service. If you would like some help and advice choosing the right lawn mower, please feel free to speak to a member of our friendly team and they’d be happy to help.

How To Look After Your Garden

We have a wide range of garden tools to help you keep your garden looking its best. And it’s not just a good-looking lawn that you need! Cutting back plants and shrubs will require good quality garden hand tools, like garden shears, secateurs and loppers. If you have particularly unruly greenery or to keep your hedges looking neat and tidy with minimum effort, you may want to consider a hedge trimmer. Use the fast-moving blades to slice through branches and brambles with ease to create beautiful straight lines the neighbours will envy! Or if you need even more power, a chainsaw could be the garden power tool you need. For washing down the patio and the garden furniture, our excellent range of pressure washers from the brands you trust will have them looking as good as new!

Please always make sure you’re wearing the correct clothing and protection when working with power tools – particularly with heavy-duty tools such as hedge trimmers and chainsaws. Our range of protective gear, from eye and face protection to ear defenders, will keep you safe while you work. View our full range of workwear and protective clothing here.
