The Makita HW1200 is ideal for reducing water usage, as it uses less water than a garden hose whilst delivering up to 50 times the pressure. It achieves a low noise level by using sound absorbing sponges on the inside of the housing and a vibration isolation structure for the pump. The Pressure Washer is also equipped a with self-priming function for occasions when mains water is not available (keep 1 metre or less between the inlet of the machine and the water surface, as the maximum suction head of the machine is 1 metre).

What should I look for when buying a Pressure Washer?

One of the most important properties of any Pressure Washer is the Pressure Rating, which is measured in Bar. This tells you the level of pressure applied to the water as it leaves the machine so, the higher the rating, the greater the force with which the water will meet the item being cleaned. Therefore, tools with higher Pressure Ratings are great for dealing with stubborn dirt and harder surfaces, such as concrete paving.

It's also worth thinking about the Flow Rate, which tells you how quickly water leaves the tool. If you need to speed up a task such as cleaning a car, a higher flow rate can be helpful. We suggest selecting a tool which offers a Pressure Level and Flow Rate appropriate for the jobs you’ll do most often.
