The Einhell TE-MS 18/210 Li Solo cordless crosscut saw makes tangled cables, tripping hazards, the nuisance of rewinding and a restricted range of operation a thing of the past. As a member of the Power X-Change family the crosscut and mitre saw is a versatile tool for use in the workshed, garage and hobby room. The rechargeable battery can also be used in all other devices from the system series. Quickly adjustable settings make it possible to perform work on materials such as wood, panels, all sorts of plastic, or parquet flooring with almost effortless ease. The turntable, for example, has an exact angle adjustment facility for angular cuts. The saw head can be tilted to the left for exact miter cuts. X-Tend workpiece supports enable the settings to be adjusted with just one hand and without the need for any tools. For repeat cutting there is an integrated limit stop. The high-quality carbide-tipped precision saw blade was developed specially for cordless saws. The cutting line laser and the LED lighting enable work to be performed quickly but safely. To fasten the workpiece securely there is an integrated clamp. The sawdust bag or the chip extraction system (extractor connection 36 mm) help keep the workplace clean and tidy and prevent the accumulation of dust in the air. The compact and low-weight design along with the carry handle make it easy to transport. This product comes without a battery or charger. These are available separately.

Cordless Mitre Saws are an essential for anyone who regularly needs to make precise, accurate cuts. The trick is to identify which machine best meets your needs. There is a lot to consider in terms of the features available, including the maximum mitre range, which determines the range of angles you can cut with the tool, the maximum bevel range, which indicates how much the saw can tilt either to the left and / or the right, which reduces the need to turn your workpiece while cutting.
The blade diameter and bore are important considerations, as these will impact on the cuts you can make and the range of additional blades you can purchase for your Mitre Saw. In addition, you should consider the speed at which the blade rotates and the weight of the tool, as these will impact on the control you have over the saw when using it.
Brushed motors use carbon brushes to transfer power from the fixed part of the motor to the rotor. This creates a reliable and relatively inexpensive motor, but brushed motors do require regular maintenance, in order to either clean the brushes or replace them as they wear out. A brushless motor, by contrast, uses a magnet mounted on the rotor to generate the power and electrical switching to perform the function carried out by the brushes. The additional complexity of the motor’s working means that brushless motors are usually more expensive than brushed.
However, eliminating the brushes also eliminates internal friction and maintenance, meaning that brushless motors offer both increased power and a longer working life. Brushless motors also generate less heat and noise and so, on balance, are considered superior to brushed motors.
The voltage of your Cordless Mitre Saw will be influenced by how and when you will make most use of it. For professionals in the trades, the Makita 40v Max range provides up to 4,800 rpm plus a cutting capacity of 70 x 312 mm and the DeWalt 54v FlexVolt range will give you 6,300 rpm of No Load Speed and a cutting capacity of 62 x 270 mm. However, the 40v and 54v batteries are larger and heavier than an 18v equivalent, which needs to be taken into account if you’ll be moving the Mitre Saw regularly.
