The Einhell GE-LM 36/4in1 Li-Solo is a cordless multi-tool with four functions: hedge trimmer, pruner, trimmer, and brushcutter. Its brushless motor provides more power and runtime than standard motors, and comes with a 10-year warranty. It features laser-cut steel blades, an Oregon chain and rail, and an automatic chain oiler. The hedge trimmer head tilts for angled cuts, and the trimmer has an automatic feed spool. An adjustable handle and harness enhance comfort. Battery and charger sold separately.

After registering online, the brushless motor comes with a 10-year warranty. For the hedge trimmer function there are high-quality blades made of laser-cut and diamond-ground steel. For the pole-mounted pruner function there is a high-quality OREGON cutter rail and chain. Using the extension pole you can also trim high hedges and cut high branches. An oil tank ensures automatic lubrication of the chain during operation. The hedge trimmer head has 7 tilt settings, the trimmer line spool features automatic jog feed, and the multifunction tool also comes with a high-grade 3-tooth blade. For comfortable use there is an adjustable additional handle and harness. This product comes without a battery and charger; these are available separately, e.g. as a practical starter set.

If considering a battery powered machine, such as Grass Shears, you might think about whether you need a tool which is supplied with a battery or whether you might save money by choosing a Body Only machine and pairing it with the batteries you already have.
However, if you’re choosing a corded tool, you’ll need to make sure you choose the right kind of machine for the power available, 110v and 240v.
Brushed motors use carbon brushes to transfer power from the fixed part of the motor to the rotor. This creates a reliable and relatively inexpensive motor, but brushed motors do require regular maintenance, in order to either clean the brushes or replace them as they wear out. A brushless motor, by contrast, uses a magnet mounted on the rotor to generate the power and electrical switching to perform the function carried out by the brushes. The additional complexity of the motor’s working means that brushless motors are usually more expensive than brushed.
However, eliminating the brushes also eliminates internal friction and maintenance, meaning that brushless motors offer both increased power and a longer working life. Brushless motors also generate less heat and noise and so, on balance, are considered superior to brushed motors.
