This lightweight trimmer features interchangeable blades for tackling both grass edges (up to 100mm) and thicker branches on shrubs and hedges. The laser-cut, diamond-ground blades provide clean cuts, and the soft grip handle ensures comfort during use. This tool is part of the Power X-Change family, so you can use any 18V PXC battery (sold separately) to power it.

The Einhell GE-CG 18/100 Li-Solo cordless grass and shrub shears is a high-performance member of the clever Power X-Change family. The cordless tool is a convenient alternative to hand-operated pruning saws or garden shears. It is also lighter, quieter and more versatile than the petrol-powered or electronic versions and is therefore an ideal helper when it comes to pruning, shaping and thinning out shrubs and trees. The grass cutting blade is perfectly suited for cutting lawn edges (100 mm). The laser-cut and diamond-ground shrub shears blades are ideally suited for trimming hedges and bushes. The tools are easy to change over without the need for any other tools. The soft grip provides a perfect grip and ergonomics for every movement during use. The covered gearing housing provides protection during use and when cleaning against contact with parts which are lubricated with gear oil. One 18 V PXC battery is needed for operation. The battery and charger are not included in the scope of this delivery - they are available separately.

If considering a battery powered machine, such as Grass Shears, you might think about whether you need a tool which is supplied with a battery or whether you might save money by choosing a Body Only machine and pairing it with the batteries you already have.
However, if you’re choosing a corded tool, you’ll need to make sure you choose the right kind of machine for the power available, 110v and 240v.
Brushed motors use carbon brushes to transfer power from the fixed part of the motor to the rotor. This creates a reliable and relatively inexpensive motor, but brushed motors do require regular maintenance, in order to either clean the brushes or replace them as they wear out. A brushless motor, by contrast, uses a magnet mounted on the rotor to generate the power and electrical switching to perform the function carried out by the brushes. The additional complexity of the motor’s working means that brushless motors are usually more expensive than brushed.
However, eliminating the brushes also eliminates internal friction and maintenance, meaning that brushless motors offer both increased power and a longer working life. Brushless motors also generate less heat and noise and so, on balance, are considered superior to brushed motors.
