What is the best DeWalt angle grinder?
The best angle grinder depends on how, where, and how often you intend to use it. Our best-seller is the DeWalt DCG405N model for numerous reasons.
Part of DeWalt’s highly regarded XR (eXtreme Runtime) range, its brushless motor is excellent for efficient power output and enhanced tool life. This model is also packed full of other user-friendly features, including an electronic brake stop for safety, an electronic clutch to reduce kick-back, a mesh cover to restrict dust, and a two-position side handle for usability.
It’s definitely the best DeWalt angle grinder for general use, focusing on performance and portability. However, if you’re looking for a heavy-duty angle grinder, we recommend the DeWalt DWE492KL with a no-load speed of up to 6,600 rpm.
How do you change a DeWalt angle grinder blade?
- Start by unplugging the tool or removing the battery.
- Find the spindle lock button at the top or back of your DeWalt angle grinder, and then press and hold this button while turning the disc until you feel it lock in place.
- Fit the spanner wrench (usually included with your new cutting or grinding disc) into the holes on the flange nut and turn it anti-clockwise. For models with a quick-change system, hold the spindle lock down and rotate the disc by hand, pressing the quick-release lever to release.
- Remove the old blade by lifting it off of the disc.
- Place the new cutting or grinding disc onto the spindle, checking that it is facing the right way.
- Reattach the flange nut.
- Secure the blade using the spanner wrench, tightening the nut clockwise until firm.
- Connect your DeWalt angle grinder back to its power source and run to test.
