Product Overview
Lightweight and compact, the 18V XR Cordless Pruning Chainsaw has a high-efficiency brushless motor designed to maximize runtime and motor life with up to 70 cuts per charge (Using DCB230 battery, tested on 4"x4" Pressure-Treated Pine). Weighing just 2.08kg (tool only), the Pruning Chainsaw is 61% lighter (When compared to the DCCS620 chainsaw) and 3x more compact. Designed to reduce fatigue while cutting, trimming and pruning. Use it to trim branches from downed trees, cut bundles of wood or branches, and manage thick brush or daily pruning needs. Compact design allows for easy access to tight spaces. Integrated tip guard is designed to provide stability during upcuts, and onboard wrench for fast, easy tensioning. Part of the 18V XR battery system.

FAQs
As well as all the outdoor tools you’d expect, such as Chainsaws, Lawnmowers and Strimmers, ToolStore UK also has a wide range of other outdoor tools to cover all kinds of tasks. From Pole Saws to Grass Shears, our range of power tools covers most garden tasks.
If considering a battery powered machine, such as Grass Shears, you might think about whether you need a tool which is supplied with a battery or whether you might save money by choosing a Body Only machine and pairing it with the batteries you already have.
However, if you’re choosing a corded tool, you’ll need to make sure you choose the right kind of machine for the power available, 110v and 240v.
Brushed motors use carbon brushes to transfer power from the fixed part of the motor to the rotor. This creates a reliable and relatively inexpensive motor, but brushed motors do require regular maintenance, in order to either clean the brushes or replace them as they wear out. A brushless motor, by contrast, uses a magnet mounted on the rotor to generate the power and electrical switching to perform the function carried out by the brushes. The additional complexity of the motor’s working means that brushless motors are usually more expensive than brushed.
However, eliminating the brushes also eliminates internal friction and maintenance, meaning that brushless motors offer both increased power and a longer working life. Brushless motors also generate less heat and noise and so, on balance, are considered superior to brushed motors.
