"Delivery service from Toolstore was brilliant. Ordered on a Sunday afternoon and it arrived on Tuesday. Excellent. Doesn't come with a harness or ear defenders and the machine is heavy after use for a period and noisy enough to need both. The Instruction Manual was out of date. When needing new line I couldn't figure out how that was done as the diagrams differed from what I could see on the head. Eventually I realised that I had a C6-2 head rather than the C5-2 in the Manual. Had to look it up on You Tube where Stihl have a very good video. As it turned out that was a blessing as it is the easiest respooling ever. Worth checking what you have. The machine is powerful enough to go through the longest and toughest of grass. Doing dropped edges is not great and involves turning it sideways, but results in material being thrown up. Not a good idea. "

"This seems to be a great Strimmer for the price. Can't get my head around the auto cutter though, I can't get it to work. The manual doesn't cover the 6-2 version, only the 5-2 so no clues there. A few others seem to have problems with this too, and can't get it to release more cord easily as advertised. However the engine starts first time and its a stihl so great quality. I would recommend still!"

Starts first time - every time.
Very lightweight and well balanced and can easily be used without a harness.
Powerful enough to get through dense weeds and grass and quite quiet motor.
The line feed is a bit unreliable - I have yet to own a strimmer with reliable auto line feed so it's a minor niggle.
Highly recommended."

"Arrived so well packed! Easy to assemble and operate, seems like a really powerful motor - thought I was downsizing from the old Ryobi, but my short experience so far of the Stihl gives me the feeling of holding a lively pony in check that's determined to gallop off! So, early days but keeping the beast under control, and learning to get it to do all the 'tricks' that the Ryobi did is the next task. Seems to use a lot of line and fuel but that maybe just my lack of experience in handling this machine."
