What should I look for when buying a Wood Chisel?
The first thing to think about is the width of the chisel’s iron and specifically the tip. Larger blades are typically used for furniture manufacturing. Depending on the kind of woodworking you’ll be doing and whether you’ll be making intricate patterns, you might need smaller Chisels, or multiple tools for different stages of your projects.
You should also check the comfort and safety properties provided by different Wood Chisels. Do they have an ergonomic grip? Is the blade guard full length? Can it withstand hammer strikes from multiple angles?
It’s also worth thinking about whether you need a pre-sharpened blade which is ‘ready to go’ straight from the pack.

We offer free delivery on orders over £55, placed before 4pm Monday to Thursday. Note that next day delivery for orders placed after 4pm on Thursday, up to 4pm Friday, is usually Monday (excluding bank holidays). Estimated delivery for all orders placed over a weekend is Tuesday. Note that due to the size and weight of some products, next working day delivery is not available and additional carriage charges will apply.
