Once you know what kind of machine you need, what features should you be looking out for? One key feature is the tool’s No Load Speed; this tells you how fast it operates and is usually measured in revolutions per minute (RPM). Think about the kind of work you’ll be doing; a lower RPM rate gives you more control over the end result but can mean tasks take longer. Brushed motors use carbon brushes to transfer power from the fixed part of the motor to the rotor.
