The LS1040N Mitre Saw has a powerful 1,650 watt motor to deliver up to 4,600 rpm for faster cutting. It is equipped with a precision machined aluminium base to ensure accurate cutting, pivoting fence for supporting larger materials, dual post compound pivoting arm, more stable cutting by holding the material more widely with the sub fence, holders on both sides of the machine to hold long work pieces horizontally and shaft lock for easy blade changes.

The LS1040N Mitre Saw from Makita has a rigid body, mitre cuts 0 to 45 degrees left and 0 to 52 degrees right with positive stops at 9 settings, 15, 22.5, 30 and 45 degrees right or left and 0 (90 degree cut) and performs compound cutting operations. The tool also has an electric brake for increased operator safety and built in dust collection system for more efficient chip and sawdust collecting.
