The HS7100 Circular Saw has a powerful 1,400 watt motor to deliver up to 5,500 rpm for faster cutting. The Circular Saw has a positive stop at 45 degrees and maximum cutting angle up to 50 degrees. Precision bevel adjustment can be made at 45 degrees. A built in dust blower clears the line of sight, dust nozzle can be attached over the saw dust exhaust port for connecting to a Makita vacuum cleaner and the rear dust port exhausts saw dust away from the user.

The next consideration is cutting capacity; this will be determined by the size of the blade. The ToolStore UK range has tools with blade sizes from 165mm through to 235mm and the best way to measure this is to check the maximum cutting depth at 0° and compare this with the cutting depth at 45°. Some saws can cut deeper at 45° than they can at 0° and this is something to think about – choose the tool which best handles the kind of cut you’ll be doing most often.
Other Circular Saws can cut at 60°, which is worth bearing in mind depending on the kind of work you’ll be doing.
