The Makita GD0800C Die Grinder has a powerful 750 watt motor to deliver up to 28,000 rpm for faster material removal.
The Die Grinder has an electronic control system for soft start to suppress start-up for smoother start-ups, constant speed control to automatically apply additional power to the motor to maintain speed under load and variable speed control by dial for setting an ideal speed to match the application. Air from air-cooling ports on the GD0800C blow air away from the user and internal labyrinth construction seals the motor and bearings from contamination, dust and debris.
The GD0800C features SJS, Super Joint System. A unique mechanism, the spindle and armature are joined with a lock spring to provide a shock absorbing effect and ensures a high durability of collet and coupling. It prevents motor and gear damage by allowing the drive shaft to slip if the wheel is forced to stop.
