FAQs
Multi Tools are a real ‘all-rounder’ and can be used for cutting, sanding, scraping and rasping.
There are various aspects to consider when choosing a Multi Tool. Among the most important is the Oscillations Per Minute – the number of times the blade moves from one side back to the other. If the speed is too low, the blade will be unable to cut, but if it too high, you could scorch the material you’re working with.
Also look at the oscillation angle; this is how far the blade moves from side to side. The greater the angle, the greater the movement. Check whether your preferred tool uses a ‘standard’ tool holder or a ‘starlock’, as this will affect which attachments and accessories you can use with your Multi Tool.
An additional important consideration is whether the tool you’re considering runs on 110v or 240v – make sure you choose the right voltage for the environment you work in.
