Holesaws are mounted onto power drills using an arbor and used to cut large holes into workpieces without cutting up the core material. They can make larger holes more quickly than a standard drill bit and use less power to do so.

These factors should all be taken into account when choosing either individual Holesaws or a set which includes various diameters. Some brands include the cutting depth instead of working length in their product specifications but both terms will tell you the same thing.
