What should I look for when buying Snips?

The first thing to look at is the colour of the handles. Red handles indicate right-handed snips which cut to the left, green handles are for left-handed snips which cut to the right while yellow handles are for straight cutting tools.

Then, consider the type of tool; Aviation Snips often have narrower blades, which can make them very useful when working in tight spaces.

Then, there is the question of whether the blades are straight or offset. Blades which are slightly offset from the handles can be really useful if you need to make long, straight cuts.
