The Makita 9557NBR Angle Grinder has a powerful 840 watt motor, with soft start for smooth start-ups, to deliver up to 11,000 rpm. The Angle Grinder has labyrinth construction seals to protect the drive gear and bearings, with metal gear housing for durability. The gear housing can be rotated to suit most cutting and grinding applications, the side grip can be positioned on both sides for user convenience and a side handle for user control. The 9557NBR features anti-restart to prevent accidental start up. The Angle Grinder has a slide switch with lock on function for continuous use and to reduce user fatigue and a push button spindle lock. The wheel cover protects the operator from accidental scattering of broken wheel or workpiece with minimal wheel cover movement.
