Multi Tools

What is usually included in a multi-tool?

Why carry three or four electric power tools around when a single multi-tool can perform all their functions with ease? An oscillating multi-tool is perhaps the most versatile of them all, which is why it’s an ever-present item in a joiner’s tool bag.

If you work in tight, awkward spaces that are difficult to access with larger power tools, the multi-tool is perfect. It’s a scraper, a sander, a saw and a grinder — depending on the attachments you add. And because the number of attachments is so high, you can use the average multi-tool on a range of materials, including metal, wood, carpet, tiles, bricks and concrete.

Perfect for small cuts, a multi-tool can be used to cut holes in doors and plasterboard walls. It’s also ideal for cutting into skirting when laying laminate and hardwood flooring. Other uses include sanding wood, grout removal, window repair and making cylindrical cuts for wire installation.

Are multifunction circular saws effective?

A circular saw that delivers a range of speeds, settings, blade types and cutting angles gives you the ability to take on straight cuts just about anywhere. If you’re a professional joiner or carpenter, a multi-function circular saw can make your working life a lot easier.

Cutting large pieces of timber is a quick and hassle-free process. Some people keep a multi-function circular saw just for cutting wood for a log burning fire or stove. And making simple items of furniture is also relatively straightforward when you have this versatile power tool in your bag.

As long as you’re cutting straight lines, there’s no better power tool than the multi-functional circular saw. It’s perfect for cutting bevels, cross-cutting, metal cutting and cutting down long lengths of plywood.
